A Betkings deposit through M-Pesa should take you thirty seconds. It mostly does. This is the full route in, the route back out with your winnings, and what to do when either one hangs.
How to deposit
- Sign into your Betkings account through the app or mobile browser.
- Go to the Deposit page.
- Choose M-Pesa.
- Enter your stake amount. Fund it in one go where you can — M-Pesa transaction fees eat into small stakes, so two KSh 50 deposits cost more overall in fees than a single KSh 100 one.
- You'll see the paybill shown in your Betkings account, or an STK prompt will hit your phone directly.
- Confirm with your M-Pesa PIN.
- Look for the Safaricom SMS confirming the transaction, then check your Betkings wallet balance updates.
How to withdraw
- Open the Withdraw section from your account dashboard.
- Pick M-Pesa as the method.
- Type the amount and check the receiving number is correct.
- Submit the request.
- Give it a short while to process. Some withdrawals land within minutes; others, especially larger sums, go through a review step first.
- Confirm receipt via the M-Pesa message on your phone.
Fees
Betkings itself typically doesn't tack on an extra deposit charge for M-Pesa, but the standard Safaricom transaction fee still applies on your side, scaled to the amount sent. That fee band moves over time, so don't trust an old screenshot of the rates — check what M-Pesa itself shows you before the transaction. Fewer, bigger deposits keep the fee drag down.
Troubleshooting
STK push doesn't arrive.
Check signal strength and retry once. If nothing, use the manual paybill route instead of repeatedly requesting the push.
M-Pesa debited but Betkings balance unchanged.
Wait several minutes, particularly during busy periods like late-night European kickoffs around 22:00 to 23:00 EAT, then contact support with your M-Pesa code if it's still missing.
Withdrawal taking longer than expected.
First-time withdrawals and larger amounts often go through manual verification. That's routine, not a fault.
Betting on low-scoring domestic fixtures and the payout seems off.
This isn't a payment issue. Mid-table FKF Premier League matches are notoriously low-scoring, so double-check the market and odds you actually staked on before assuming a payment error.
